About The Practice

Dr. Kathy Hubley Carruthers began her individual private practice in 2011, after working for five years in a private practice in Calgary, Alberta, and nine additional years as an Associate Psychologist for Genest Psychological Services in Halifax, Nova Scotia. With fourteen years of clinical experience, she began her own practice, to provide her clients with highly skilled, compassionate therapeutic services in a warm, friendly and welcoming environment.

Dr. Hubley Carruthers and her associates offer a broad range of empirically supported therapy services including cognitive-behavioural, solution-focused, interpersonal, narrative and mindfulness based therapies. They service preschoolers and early school age children, latency age children (age 8 to 12), adolescents, adults, couples and families.

Dr. Hubley Carruthers Counselling & Psychological Services is located in the same building as Dr. Erica Baker Psychological Services Limited.

Erica Baker Psychological Services Limited, previously Ann Krane & Associates Limited, is a private practice that has been in operation for the past 19 years. Dr. Baker’s practice is one of few local practices that specialize exclusively in assessment and coaching services for individuals with learning and behavioural needs. As experts in assessment and coaching, they provide a nice complement to the clinical / counselling and psychological services offered by Dr. Kathy Hubley Carruthers and her associates. Our working arrangement is a positive and supportive one, and this is reflected in the work that we do.

All of the psychologists working with Dr. Kathy Hubley Carruthers Counselling & Psychological Services are registered and legislated by the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology.
